Seeing Tamatoa in his original context is so freaking surreal.

Moana's voice actress, Auli'i Cravalho deserves a new banger. She was done dirty with Hailey's on it and now with this. She's a good, neigh, a great voice actress, she deserves a new great story to be in.

I watched Moana in 2018. My grandmother convinced me to two years after it released, talking about how beautiful and heartfelt. One year later she passed away from cancer. The movie and the grandmother character in it have a special place in my heart... for Disney to just cynically rake in money by taking a TV sequel and reformatting it into a movie, disrespecting the artistry that went into the original, feels so insulting. Do not normalize this sort of production practice. If not because you care about workers, at least for my gran's sake.
