The pilot announcement was letting the passengers know they had time to get up and move around the cabin, either to stretch out or use the lavatories. He also told the passengers to not congregate (hang out) around the galleys or lavatories, as they could block the flight attendants or other passengers.

As for American Airlines at LAX, this is a very typical day for them. There are usually multiple delays, as well as switches between Terminals 4 and 5. This can be very irritating when flying back to LAX, as you can be scheduled to park at one terminal, so your bags will be sent there, but then the plane is switched to the opposite terminal. Now you have to walk to the other terminal's baggage claim to get your bags.

As for the flight attendants, it is hit or miss if you get friendly, or not so friendly, attendants. The company pisses them off all of the time, so that can factor into how they do their job.

farmers market inside LAX is a great idea. There's a restaurant there Calle Monsieur Marcel that we go to. Excellent deli

Flew AA last month. First time flying in years. Usually flew Delta. We flew economy. We got to check bags free each flight. Did not rec. pretzels or water on one leg of journey due to turbulence, but first class got their meal. Not happy about that. First class flight attendant was snooty. Made my SL, 76 yrs wait behind curtain till Loo was available. Not allowed to wait at door in first class part of cabin. Landing in DFTW was rough. Came in fast, had we not had our seat belts on we would have hit the seats in front of us. Will go back to flying Delta in the future.

I had the worst flight ever. We traveled with AA from Charlotte to PCB a few days ago and dealt with unpredictable, unprofessional staff. There was anxious staff, a depressed vibe, and pilots who did weird maneuvers. The weather was terrific. However, there was severe turbulence and some unpredictable actions, such as turning the plane, flying faster/slower, tilting, and getting higher/lower. We landed after 3 hours instead of 50 minutes. It was like they were having a training. That was felt like the plane would crash. That was a traumatic experience. Never again.

At 5:45 he's just saying that that's your one chance to get up to use the "loo" if you need to. Probably because you were just flying LAX to LAS which is a short flight.

I usually fly Southwest but I did fly American once in 2024. It was fine, but for me at least my ticket didn't include checked baggage. I don't remember if it included carry-on baggage. I brought only a backpack so I didn't have to worry about either one. Also, on one of the legs of the trip I was unwittingly given an upgrade (I think it was because I volunteered to check in my backpack when they asked me to, to save space in the cabin) and I got to have unlimited alcoholic drinks on that flight. That was very nice 😋

I fly basic all the time and I love it. Does it really matter if you get to sit with your group or not. As long as you get to your destination in one peace is what matters. If I get to sit with my group great if not oh well. It’s only a few hours and then we can meet up and figure it out at the destination airport.

Im flying AA next week, i keep seeing that they are bad about delays. This is stressing me out because i have a short layover between flights ofnonly a few hours. What happens if they make you miss your connection flight? Even if its their fault, would i have to pay for a different plane ticket? Never thought of thag issue until now 😮

Would you know if when you pay for a check bag that the $40 is good for the whole way to buffalo? Even with the connector at Philly. Haven't used american in a long time.
