Valve can't be that stupid. They have the analytics. It's all there in black and white. A huge portion of the playerbase is not running anything close to the latest hardware. Also CS is extremely popular in countries with a low income. I have nothing against telling people to upgrade their hardware but WITH NOTICE. Forcing people to upgrade without notice and taking away their ability to continue playing the game that works on their hardware is some next level single braincell sh*t when you factually know most people can't do that.

The whole thing gives me "do you guys not have phones" vibes except in this case it's "do you guys not have $500-$1000 if disposable income lying around to forcibly upgrade your PC on a whim?" no valve, we don't. Most of us make minimum wage and pay bills and you know that lmao 😂.

8 Billion Company doesn't have multiple rigs to test that on their own and want us to do their job ? The main issue is that CS was never about details and graphics and now they allow map creators to put high poly models in the maps to look more pretty while nobody gives a fuck about it since everyone are playing on low settings on 4:3 stretched. CS is and never will be a game that focused on pretty graphics and this happens cause of it.

In csgo I used to have 600 fps and it felt really good and smooth. Now in cs2 I have between 90-240

i think it honestly just needs more settings. the water on aincient and overpass sometimes RAIL my frames, so just give me a setting to turn the watter down.

The game feels generally fine when I can maintain over 100 fps, but there's a lot of instances where my game stutters as soon as my teammates in other parts of the map start mowing down enemies. I get that action on-screen can lower the framerate, but considering that the client/server system that runs and syncs the game isn't doing all that much more than it was doing in the early 2000s on some 500MHz pentiums, there's no good reason that the basic action that only needs to be synchronized, not actually run on the user's PC should be this heavy to do.

Bruh I have 3080ti Strix with i9-11900k and 80 gb ram all ssd 990 pro and I do not get 500fps nor 7000 :))) how what kind of rocket does he have, plus I find it inconvenient that cs2 it is a game needed to have a solid gaming pc in order to have a decent fps, counter strike is meant to run on all kinds of pc, s, and I understand that mby 10-15years old technology is bad for this game, but even with modern gpu and cpu etc. the game does not run the way is intended to be and to have a very solid fps with no dips

YIKES YIKES YIKES! Yeah I have a 360hz monitor, let me cap it at 120... Holy shit. No wonder this games so garbage. As a dev myself, its NOT the responsibility of the customer to run a trace tool for YOU. Your internal logging and reporting should capture all that automatically. Wow wow cannot believe how dismissive he is. This really hurts my optimism for this game improving for the future holy shit.

Even if you are capped at 120, running at higher FPS uncapped can help with control responsiveness and response times. Jesus Valve what the hell. Not cool at all. Keep your engineers behind the scenes off twitter maybe if they act like this. Not acceptable answer at all!

Okay but inferno actually has a problem. Valve had indeed fixed a lot of hitching and low fps problems, the game is almost entirely stable now, however on maps like Inferno and Italy I barely get 100fps. On all other maps I get well over 150-200fps on max graphics. I have tried turning down the settings for inferno and it's still about the same. Now that all of the hitching is gone I can clearly see how low the fls really is on Inferno and Italy. Valve please fix.

I have a 240 Hz monitor and for a competitive experience I would prefer to maintain over 240 FPS. Sounds like the devs just don’t want to optimize their game.

I use my lag as wallhack, when im looking in enemy direction, i lose 20fps xDDD

Cleary the engine doesn't focus in peformance, but only quality. It uses DirectX11 very well for graphic propourses, but if they matter with peformance they must upgrade to DirectX12.
