I cannot believe how relevant your videos are for me! I'm about to move in with my in-laws who are both gluten free, and I was praying about my nervousness concerning meal prep. And here you are with a perfect solution! Thank you! And thank you Lord

I'm new to the channel, hello. One mealtime tip I heard when my 3 children were small was to eat dinner by candlelight. (In the dark winter months, of course.) This calmed down even the two feisty boys, and they acted a bit more civilized. No more jostling each other at the table, because it might knock over the open flame. Lighting and snuffing the candles were their favorite jobs. They're now grown, with kids of their own. One son still lights candles at dinner.
The cookbook sounds wonderful. I'm even busier with the kids gone, expanding our business and volunteering at church.

This is a first! A gluten free meal prep plan that doesn’t use too many ingredients! I am so thankful to hear good things about “Cook Once, Eat All Week”! My daughter got a copy at her wedding shower and now I am encouraged to get my own copy!

I have been prepping and cooking on Sundays for years (inventory & meal planning, and shopping done on Thursdays, which is the least busy day at Aldi's). I was a single mom, working full time and this was a routine that worked for me and my son. He's 34 now, living his life, and I still have the same routine for just myself. I enjoy keeping my food expenses low, knowing what is in the food I eat and that it is healthy. It's a blessing to ourselves. And it's one of the habits that rubbed off on him. I love it when he calls for a recipe or directions. Thank you for sharing -- here's hoping your inspiration rubs off on many other young families.

I loved seeing a "casserole" that wasn't full of cheese, cream soup or dairy!

Wow, wow, wow, this looks like an answer to prayer. We have 8 of our 12 children still living at home and if I could simplify meal planning, shopping and cooking that would be FANTASTIC. I might even be able to have our older children doing more of the cooking.

I just spent 10 days with my son and his wife with their 2 1/2 year old and their newborn son. I had gotten this book for myself (from your recommendation), and once I saw it, I drove it over to my daughter's house (who has 6 kids, 9 and under) and gave it to her. She HATES to cook (because her husband eats like an army, and there are NEVER any leftovers, so she has to come up with something new every night), but this book has made her SO excited to start cooking again.
When I knew I would be going to my son's home, I bought ANOTHER copy of it and had it shipped there in advance of my arrival. I allowed my daughter-in-law, new mother, to choose which week looked good to her, and I made the meals while I was there with them. I did Week 19 (main ingredients are pork roast, sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts). The prep was SO easy, I could not believe it. The only problem was that the smell of the pork in the crock pot tortured me all day!!!
We made the bowls the first night. We were ALL amazed how good everything was. Their 2 1/2 year old asked for MORE of the sweet potato "chips"!
The next day was the sheet pan dinner, with apples and onion (which I thought sounded kind of weird, but was AMAZING!). I know they liked it, because my son took seconds (I could tell he wanted to snitch more). They did not even ask for any kind of sauce to add to it, because the flavors were SO good. (NOTE: There is a typo on this day. The ingredients list shows 1 tsp. sea salt at the end, but in the instructions, it says to add the final 2 TABLESPOONS of salt. DO NOT DO THAT!!!)
I had to leave to go home the next day, so I assembled the stuffed sweet potatoes for them to cook the next day, and just stuck them in the fridge. All they would have to do is heat for 15 minutes, add cheese and cook for another 10 minutes.
The mom has had to go dairy/egg-free because their baby is nursing and is VERY sensitive to those things, so the alternative choices are BRILLIANT and so helpful to her.
I CANNOT wait to try some recipes for my own household now.
I will be buying ANOTHER copy of this book for your new neighbors across the street who just had a baby about a month ago. It will now become the WEDDING and BABY SHOWER present from me from now on! THANK YOU, DAWN, for telling us about this book. It really IS life-changing!!!

Meal time is by far the most stressful thing in my life! I’ve never been able to get it down. Thank you for sharing

I just converted my kitchen to your other meal planning method. I picked 15 of our favorite, easy recipes for a rotation and it has made things SO much easier and less overwhelming. I am cooking so much more!!

I loooove to meal prep. I’m a busy homeschooling mama and always on the go! Half the time, I run in the house, throw a quick green salad together and choose a protein- lately it’s been ground beef or chicken!! We could use a change up on our meal game plan. This cookbook seems like it’s really user friendly and has realistic recipes!!! I’d love to give it a go!! Thank you for all your tips and tricks!! I’m hooked!!!!

Our family so needs this! We have four teens which makes our life beyond busy, but we have committed to eating healthier. I know we would use this book religiously.

I love this concept and as a family of "one", I can image just splitting the recipes and/or freezing extra portions for another day.

When I was first married, I used to watch a show on Food Network called “Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller”. It had same basic premise. Now I’m homeschooling five kids and could really benefit from implementing this system. I haven’t had good success with other freezer cooking in a day things that are too complicated.

This would be a great option for my house. We have a large house with 3 rooms that we rent out to college kids bc cost of living for them is just not feasible. I cook for everyone (dinner) and feel like I live in the kitchen. This would make my life soooo much easier. Ordering now!

It's crazy that almost every woman you talk to has this same issue- what am I cooking/serving for dinner? This video was great, very inspirational. Thanks so much Minimal Mom!

I love the idea of prepping the same things for all week! I do a pretty good job of using all of our ingredients each week, but I’m all for things that make meal prep easier/more veggie heavy!

Great advice, thanks!
My grandmother always recommended making all the dinners for the week on Sunday. It is hard to do, but this idea of same basic ingredients seems easier. It looks amazing! Only problem is my family would prefer it all to be kept separate, not as a casserole.
Discovered your videos a few weeks ago... love them!!!

Sound great. My biggest struggle is my husband is an over the road trucker & only home on the weekends. Our 30 something daughter & her 12 year old son live with us and they are picky eaters. Plus she hates to cook. This sounds healthy & doable.

Oh my gosh I am so excited to try this out I think I definitely will give it a try. I am in the same boat with three little picky eaters and a picky eating husband too! The one thing that absolutely sold me on trying this is not only the time saver and energy saving of making daily decisions about what to make but also the allergy friendly options! My little guy is autistic and gluten free, I'm gluten free, my daughter is rice free (I'll have to do something aside from the rice casserole for her but the Paleo options would work 😉) and my husband is mustard, tomato and peppers (hot peppers bell peppers etc) free... Let's just say cooking in my house can feel like a nightmare on some days but I really want to give this weekly planning a try it would be amazing to not have to cook three different meals just for supper! Thank you so much for your videos I have been loving all of them!! 😊💞

This sounds good for those of us with a little grey hair too! This looks like a wonderful way to streamline my cooking because as I get older, I seem to have less energy for cooking, yet we want to eat healthy and stay away from those frozen foods too. I end up cycling through the same old recipes--many of which use those two kinds of soup!
