Not many judges stand up for the citizens against the prosecution service.

Police and prosecutors can be too casual in their attitude about arrests. But even a stay of a few days could cause a downward spiral of a lost job, impound fees for a car that are unaffordable, lost children and pets, missed medications, etc.

I knew someone who got arrested and CPS took her kids away. The charges were dismissed and she was out in a few days but it took months to get her kids back. They were traumatized.
