I just made this. It's in the oven for the final cook. Eatting it for Christmas day! What I did different was use Truvia, Stevia in the Raw and half sugar for all the sugar ingredients. But I used real brown sugar where called for. I also added lots of cinnamon and 1/2 C. chopped pecans to the apples AND I flattened out the final dough for the topping. There are a few gaps in the topping still. I've never made a cobbler before. Apple crisp is ALWAYS my go to apple dessert. Thought I'd try something different. It was fun.

I never would have thought to put brown butter in an apple cobbler, but now that I've seen it I need to try it immediately. That sounds heavenly.
