My siblings and I enjoy so many constants in our lives as military children no matter where we were. Homemade cooking. Mom would do apple treats like this in Fall. No recipe just a bit of this to a pinch of this. But each time was amazing. Our breakfast, lunches for school, dinner and picnics were all made from scratch. If Dad was not out on assignment he is the best baker and Saturday mornings butter rolls, huge ones, were waiting for us. Did I mention we were a family of 9! This video brings that comfort we had as children traveling the world knowing kitchen curtains would go up and home cook meals were so effortless.
