I know there's a lot of other $999 laptops like the Surface laptop and the XPS 13, but once you spec it to a 256GB SSD with a touchscreen option (if any), they're all more expensive. Lotta good hardware in here for just $999!

Thank you for the review, realy enjoyed it. The reviewed Matebook is not the $999 though but the upgraded $1300 version with the touch screen. The $999 version doesn't have a touch screen option. Found that out the hard way after ordering mine from China ;)

This or Zenbook 14? I'm gonna use it with Adobe Lightroom, Premiere and some light after effects on the side.. Can you guys help me to decide.... On the design side, Zenbook is winning, tho on the productivity side this one.. this is very hard for me

I was searching for a laptop under $1000 to do writing with google docs and google slides/PowerPoint. Also I want to watch a lot of YouTube and Netflix and play some LOL (casually). I thought getting the matebook x pro, then thought about the matebook 13. Now I settled on the Surface Pro, because I can write on it, which is better then typing in terms of remembering stuff, it's also way lighter than both of the above mentioned devices, also it has facial recognition.

Was really interested to buy this. Such a shame the US had to ban Huawei. This laptop is as good as it gets for the price and it has come down in price!

I feel like the trackpad could be better, just the simple fact that it has a small hint of friction could change the rating of the pc. But anyways the **SCREEN** would be one of the better reasons to buy this pc

I hate it when people recommend you get something bigger for the sakes of better value. This is for people willing to pay a premium for the 13" design. I could get a gigantic heavy gaming laptop for the same money if that's what I really wanted 😒
