It's certainly got wild camp potential with lots of wildlife interest and the boating. You could add magnificent, grand or marvelous to them barges. Great walk about. Youtube? it gets even better when the community emerges for you. All the best with it. Mark

only just seen this mate, nice one. you have been bitten! get well soon Mary, and you mate now lol. that area is great for camps, great sunsets and sunrises, lovely sound of the wading birds call in the morning and gentle waves. lots of history too. i've camped at shotley peninsula a couple of times. know a good spot there. going back at some point for a walk and camp on a different part. cheers mate.
