I line my pan with foil for easy clean up and when the bacon is done, I undo one corner from the pan and fold it into a "V" shape to pour it into my bacon can. The one I have has a filter to catch the solids. I grew up in the South where we always had a can of bacon grease handy!

How many of you used to use an empty Crisco can or coffee can (back when they were made of metal rather than cardboard)?

Thanks for this! I have always kept mine on the counter in a small crock and recently had a family member telling me that it needs to be refrigerated. I didn’t agree and now I have someone else that agrees! 😁 I remember growing up seeing my grandma cook with bacon grease and she kept it on the back of the stove in a tin. Yum!

I keep mine in a mason jar and store it in the fridge. I also use parchment paper under when I bake for easy clean up.

I have just started using bacon grease in my coffee instead of dairy! I whip it together and OMG!!! It's so creamy and delicious and no more dairy :)

If you buy hog jowl at wall-mart ( the pre sliced kind) it is already fully cooked (looks like sliced ham) but we like ours crispy, so cook it again and it will render so much more bacon grease than bacon and a plus it is super tasty too!!

If you don’t have an air fryer, try lining a jelly roll pan with parchment place bacon in the pan and bake in the oven at 400° for approx 20 min or so, until desired crispness. It’s easy to pour off the bacon grease and cleanup is a breeze too!!

Just ordered the bacon grease jar. I like that has a lid. I usually use a mason jar without a lid but this matches my kitchen better. Thanks

My mother and all my aunt's, from South Georgia, always saved their bacon drippings. Until I found ur channel, had forgotten that. Am so enjoying cooking the way they did in yummy bacon fat. Thanks!

Would be nice if you would do a video on what else you use your air fryer for.

Air fryer bacon is amazing and nicely collects the grease. Then I strain it while pouring it into my bacon grease container (that includes the strainer) so all I have is beautiful white bacon grease.

I’ve been in the market for an air fryer now I’ve been convinced to get this kind instead of the other kind! Thanks for sharing!

When I switched to Keto after years of being so sick on a plant based diet (I thought it would fix my autoimmune and weight issues and it did not)I had never eaten bacon. I had no idea about how to save bacon grease. This may be a sill videos for some of us but there are newbies who were vegetarian for their whole adult lives who have no concept of how to do this.

I never saw an air fryer like that. I will have to check it out.

Hi there Neisha! Thanks for the basic seeming, but still helpful video! Could you possibly do a video on bacon grease benefits. I'm trying to determine if bacon grease is good for you, or is it simply just a better alternative to other things you could be consuming instead? Just want to know more!

If you have a mexican meat market and they make carnitas you can get the store manteca(unprocessed lard) they use to fry the pork in. Around here two pounds goes for $3. Some render their own manteca and have the fried out pork skins available. They can be as long as your arm with a inch of fried out fat and skin.
