Jennifer Doudna, world-renowned scientist and co-inventor of CRISPR-Cas9, discusses the biology behind the revolutionary gene-editing tool, followed by a discussion with Kelly Ormond and Rob Reich. Their conversation and questions from the audience focused largely on the recent controversy over gene-edited babies in China and how the use of CRISPR ought to be regulated.

Kelly Ormond is the professor of genetics at Stanford’s School of Medicine. Rob Reich is the professor of political science and faculty director of the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society.
