How does the DC be connected in this circuit

So a spare NC contact on R1 (mains side would be your generator start signal (this contact open when mains healthy). Then when mains restores T1 acts a the generator run on timer (this stops the generator starting and stopping quickly if the mains restores then fails again in a quick succession also known as hunting)? Good video well explained with a simplified circuit diagram. Also T2 allows the generator to reach speed. Could you use the ready for load output from your generator controller in place of T2?

Looks good. Maybe put a second timer after relay 2? This way the change over has delay and is not nearly instantaneous? I figure the first timer is to make sure power is stable before change over.
