Retired from a large hospital, research buildings & 12 story ambulatory care building with over 75 ATS switches. For some reason they liked to piss away money and only install 1, 200 & 1, 600 amp 480 volt types. Best ones were some that were expensive closed transition type ATS'S that did not get a blip when we tested them every month. Closed transition were easier to PM or so I was told They had a special lab where they grew things that could take up to 80 days. If they lost power for even a few seconds they had to start from scratch costing ton of money. They had 13, 2 KV dual service along with a back up 13, 2 KV 2, 000 KW generator and where looking into installing an expensive UPS ( Battery back up ) system to hopefully never loose power. Think it had several 1, 600 amp ATS transfer switches.

Can you please show/tell us how to connect 3 ATS for 3 Phase meter and Generator? Basically, I have 3 Phase Meter with 3 Phase electricity. I would like all 3 phases connected to the 3 ATS, so if one electricty on phase 1, it switches to 2 and if 1 & 2 are off, switches to 3, if all 3 phases are down then it switches to generator. I hope this makes sense?

Where are those live and neutral wire connected to in the generator.

Can the ATS operate with non-zero power? Let me explain, I want my generator to regulate around a fixed power (2KW). For example, if power <2KW, it starts and compensates for the amount of power and when P>2KW, it stops. If possible could you give me an example of equipment? THANKS
