Lol. I remember once during a time being homeless and broke, I preached the gospel to this man and helped clarify some things for him in the scriptures. He was so thankful and handed me a $100 bill after he saw me pick up some change off the floor during our convo. That was just one instance of God using me when I was "broke" amongst many. 👊🏽💪🏾🙏🏽

Bishop Jakes basically said the same as the man in this video🤦🏽‍♀️ even went as far to say that if you are a single woman that you need to get your money up because rich men don’t want a broke woman then later on that night, he called for 10k dollars offering! Yes TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!! At least 50 people went up and gave on the spot, check in hand (or credit card because they offered that as a payment method🥴🙄)

These money grubbing “pastors” will have a LOT to answer for on judgement day

This guy was a guest pastor at my church just last week. The whole sermon was about giving. He mentioned he had no idea what he was gonna preach about, then proceeded to preach essentially what’s said in this video. It was all about giving, material possessions, etc. when he had finished he took up a SECOND offering because “God told me to do this” and people literally put hundreds of dollars in his hand. One guy even gave him $700. I felt so uncomfortable the whole time.

These messages that are preached are hurtful when u consider our brothers and sisters presently being persecuted for the faith. Nigeria. Eritrea. Syria. Their persecution is real. They don't have riches or many or any possessions but their faith is so strong that they consider it joy to endure these things for the faith. These messages would imply what for our brothers and sisters whose blood is being shed. Who are in jail. For believing in Christ. This man is offensive to the truth faith. The Gospel.

I agree with you Bro. Minor. I've just moved our church into a "new season" - The Season of Christian Commitment. For the next few months, we will be focused on the necessity of being committed to God and that being committed takes precedence over the plans and commitments we make for ourselves. I had to go back to the basics so to speak. Expecting things from God to whom we are not committed will often lead to unnecessary frustrations that were brought on by ourselves. Proverbs 16:1-3, Matthew 6:31-33 . Pray for the ongoing of the church and our ministry. The Pastor in the video seems to be focused heavily on earthly treasures. I pray that he discontinues leading the people of God with this Gospel which is not the Gospel at all, and just preach Christ. Enjoyed your video as always. Blessings.
