Looking forward to Cargo expanding somewhat in future patches, thanks for the show!

Destroy a ship, destroy it's cargo. Disable a ship, preserve it's cargo. There needs to be an incentive to prevent arbitrary and unnecessary death if a pirate's goal is cargo. Even pirates in our own history had a code. Their goal was to disable a ship or get the ship's captain to surrender. They couldn't get the cargo if the ship sank. This would also be a good measure/indicator of an actual pvp-pirate and griefer.

Are handheld tractorbeams going to be reactivated in armastice zones ever? Right now it's considered a weapon in safe zones and can't be used to do anything in those zones.

Seeing all them cargo boxes raining down was kinda satisfying.

Who else felt their soul break a bit watching all those boxes spawn in knowing you'd have to chase them down?

The most important thing is to increase the profit margins of cargo once all of this is active. Otherwise absolutely nobody will ever waste their time with cargo after an initial try.

I love the new videos from SC. Since Citizencon, it seems like the video quality is going up and they're sharing more with us.

so no HULL C in the foreseeable future... I somehow really thought that the cargo refactor would actually bring those 32 SCU containers and physical loading and unloading... it suddenly became a lot less interesting...

The issue I have with cargo surviving a catastrophic explosion is it possibly turns piracy into just terrorism, why go through the process of negotiation, dialogue or just threatening players if you're into the piracy role, to turn over their loot if they can just blow them up and get 40%-50% average (0%-90%) of it anyways, I feel like the percentage should be a lot lower more like 20%-30% otherwise the risk vs reward isn't enough to deter pirates from just blowing people up and reclaiming half of the loot anyways. I also feel like if the entire ship exploded that most of its contents would not survive a major explosion anyways. If I was a pirate and knew blowing up a ship would cost me 70% or 80% of the contents, I may prefer not to blow up the ship as opposed to 50%.

Otherwise, this looked very cool.

I'm kinda dissapointed. I thougth they are delaying the Cargo Refactor because they wanna do all at once like big 32 SCU containers (like for the Raft) etc. The new UI looks good but i hoped soon to have to unload and load my ships by hand and also i didn't see an actual "cargo grid" as u would imagine one for the Hull A (like you take a box with your beam and can place it on a trackingpoint in the ship). I hope there will be more with smaller 3.18.x patches or some sort of it in 3.19 cause i was quit enthusiastic and now i'm like "yeah make big boxes but how long did this actually took"

As someone who is new to that game but enjoys cargo runs ... this all looks great and I look forward to trying it all out when it's available.

Knowing the Rastar being implemented and used now as supposed to Citcon showing off things far into the future is a good feeling for the progress of the game and the progress of exploration gamplay. great news

Watching this, it highlights the need for something like a wheelbarrow or similar cargo carrier but at the size of hundreds of containers.
