How to Check If You Have an SSD or HDD on Windows 10

You can find out if your computer has a solid state drive (SSD) or hard disk drive (HDD) from the Task Manager on Windows 10.

You can determine which type of storage you have from the "Performance" tab in the Task Manager. This means you won't need any other software to do this.

Overall, an SSD will benefit you a lot more than an HDD because of its faster speeds. This is especially the case if you are into gaming and other intensive tasks.

Hi! If only Disk 0 appears and no other, does that mean that my computer only has a slot for one disk? I bought a SSD and wanted to place it inside. How would i know how many slots it has?

Mines doesn't say anything of what type but when I click those options it says what type of ssd and hdd, does it matter if it doesn't show ssd or hdd under the disk 1 or disk 2?

Edit: Also I definitely already have it as windows 10 so it's not because of that

question, i got 2 ssd, how do i know wich is faster? i remember my friend build this for me and told me to use one for games the other for general stuff, i think the bigger one was for games since they take more space, how do i know for sure?

This didn't work for me. The specs for my lenovo ideapad are 256ssd but I think I also have hd. When I check task manager it only shows me "disk 0 (C:D)" which is sshd 8gb. Yet when I go to settings -> PC info -> Disk space it says "294gb available of 425gb" so not everything is being shown in task manager.
