New Nintendo 3DS XL: Adding a 32GB MicroSD

Here I'm replacing the microsd card of the new Nintendo 3DS XL with a 32GB. I show the amount of blocks you get with 32GB miscrosd card. Make sure you have a Phillips screwdriver #0 or PH0. I hope you guys like the video.

I wonder why the hell they would put the SD card there. Out of all places, they decided to place it in the center of the system. I just got a "New" 3DS for my birthday, and I wanted to replace the 4GB SD card with a 32GB one.

I've literally had my New 3DS XL for YEARS and I never knew there was a micro SD slot. I just found out today, but I always assumed they just didn't include one lol

This was really helpful, I never actually looked into the data when I was using the New Nintendo 3DS (or the original 3DS/XL for that matter). I was buying a lot of games even from the eShop and I was always wondering why I couldn’t download more games, now I know. Even then I didn’t know how much data would be on individual SD/microSD cards for my Nintendo Systems. Thanks 👍🏻

This video is so helpful I was searching for a tutorial that shows exactly where the SD card is and What tools you need for my birthday I'm going to get that SD card and my uncle is bringing the tools to unscrew it and I'm getting a $50 dollar gift card so I'm all set for downloading my games without the storage bothering me or getting in the way of me downloading my games :D

when you replaced the back cover.  the screws wouldn't tighten up cause your were turning the screws the wrong way.  clockwise tightens not counter clockwise.  just fyi.

4GB is enough if you're buying physical games, but it's still nice to have that option to upgrade to a higher download/write speed. Especially for those considering somewhat or full digital.
Personally, I'm mixed on the subject considering I have little knowledge on SD/MicroSD and its variants, so I'll probably continue to go physical despite the potential bonuses that come with it (higher speed and load times, Nintendo Rewards, etc). Thanks for the video though!

Just letting you know, but you didn't tighten the screws on the back of the system. you were still loosening them after you changed the SD card. You might want to check that.
