Good video, Scored ours on clearance for $229 at TSC last Sunday, did 21 Cornish cross yesterday.. Machine did its job and made mine easier.. I would NOT scald in a GALVANIZED container, possibility of harmful gases or toxic contamination..

We had a horrible experience with this product and company. (Seems like many people had the same issues) Ours was brand new and stopped working after just 7 chickens. NO return policy and NO service center! We were told to fix it ourself! Fortunately, we bought it on Amazon and they picked it up for free and gave us a full refund. Glad to hear you are not having problems with yours though.

Real review: Machine works good, noisy, feathers tend to build up underneath opposite the drain, Base is not stainless and is already starting to rust away after 1 year.
Would be a better product if the stand was stainless as well.

Don’t make the same mistake my wife made. She was nursing our beautiful 6-month old while dropping the chickens in, when the baby slipped out of her hands and landed in the Yardbird chicken plucker. Needless to say, the clean-up experience was streamlined and efficient. I would buy another and recommend it to any home farmer
