The reason there are arrows to line up the tub when snapping it to the motor portion is because it has a magnetic switch on it. This allows the motor to run ONLY if the drum is setting correctly in place. You can see the wires to the switch which comes out of the control box. The cord has a G.F.C.I. end on it. (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter)

Have you figured out a solution to keep the water from leaking out the sides?

These all seem to be similar in design. Vevor claims they make theirs. The Vevor has bigger wheels & was much cheaper than the yardbird. In watching videos and comparing those to the speed of the one I purchased from Vevor, many have slower (smaller?) motors. Time will tell. I just purchased a Vevor that got the best reviews.

If you have diy skills build a wizbang for $400 and you will have a $1500 plucker.
