This video should apply to any Infiniti G35 or G37 from 2007- 2013. This vehicle had a PO51 and a PO150 code, which is defined as an oxygen sensor circuit low voltage bank two, sensor one. These error codes show up when the engine control module (ECM) determines the voltage given by the sensor is lower than the specified limits. This means it is reading an excessive amount of oxygen in the exhaust. With a bad oxygen sensor, you should get a check engine light and your car may be hard to start, along with poor engine performance and bad gas mileage. To clear the codes once the new sensor is installed, you can either use an OBD2 scanner or if you don’t have one, disconnect the car battery for about five minutes and then the codes should not appear anymore.

No but literally, only video that shows clearly and directly where the sensor is. Saved me countless amounts of frustration

Wow, perfect!
You are so right about the dealer cost, I was just quoted $657 to replace bank 2 sensor 1
Yesterday...
I think I’ll buy both upstream sensors and rent some tools and just do it myself at a self serve garage one of these weekends... they got me fucked up if they think I’ll spend that much on sensor replacement.
Thanks again. Your video gave me all of the information i need to get it done. ✅

Very helpful video. Thanks. I'm going to be replacing both front o2 sensors this weekend on my M37. Showing the firing order at the beginning was very helpful too.

Hey man, awesome video.. so gonna *Try to keep it short here but so the other day im working on bank2 downstream sensor alright, comes out without any issues. I go to put the new one in, threads in with ease of course but the connector wont clip in to where it supposed to.. so i take it back out, grab the old one & im looking inside the connector plug and the new one has like a little extra peice of plastic in around the pins for watever reason..

So now im a little pissed cuz im thinking the kid at the autozone gave me the wrong sensor, i specifically asked him twice in the store if it was infact the DOWNstream not the UPstream, and he said it was infact the DOWN.. now i have to basically put it back how it was already, take it down off the jacks drive across town to swap it out and come do it all over again…

Except!, when i get back to the autozone and the guy looks it up on computer it shows that ALL the downstream sensors have the exact same plug.. so to be sure he pulls up ALL the upstream sensors as well & guess what? Same shit.. all the same exact plug connector, so wtf?

Other guy suggests maybe theres some sort of “adapter” connector plug in between the sensor and where it goes & that i must have just not noticed it..

Still havnt got back under the car yet, also never plugged the original one back in after screwing it in, just tucked the wire and been driving it.. code actaully went away & running significantly better already so i still want to replace it but have you heard of this?

SORRY for such a long story here

What's the trick to access the plug for b2s1? I cannot get a good hold on it to unplug.

Do you think I could get a regular wrench on the downstream one or do I have to buy one of those crowfoot sockets

Hi I know you’ve answered this question already about using OEM parts vs aftermarket. Do you recall if the code cleared on this particular repair when you installed the after market part? I’ve heard the g35 is very sensitive to the after market parts and alot of people having to use OEM to clear the code because aftermarket didn’t clear it. I’m getting p1168 and p0051 codes and purchased denso for upstream and NTK for downstream, (they are supposedly said to be the actual OEM parts just not through Infiniti) and installing next week.
