Another great explanation! One observation, your example at 6:00 was very good and that rock was 20m+ further to port than the plotter's marker icon indicated. The marker icon on the sidescan, however, did correlate pretty closely to the distance the rock actually was from your original track location (65-75m). I've noticed similar characteristics with my dff3d. Your advice to use the plotter marker as only a reference point to investigate with traditional sounder is perfect.

Nice job, did seem to repeat one section at the end, no worries. I have some experience with gt51 mainly depths around 40-60m, some more advice on contrast vs sensitivity(gain) and other adjustments for optimal location of structure would be great😊. Probably works best breaking topics down for shorter more specific topics. Example topic 1 intro to sidescan, 2 tuning sidescan for optimal structure, maybe one relating to garmin gt51 etc then another for furuno possibly just some ideas for thought.😊

super video. like it so much. what is the interpretation of the image at 11;01 Square form. what do you think about live scope imaging. i only have a basic fish finder and a want to upgrade...have a nice day
