3 questions

1) will the Xplore Source heading data from my ultrex ?

2) does the xplore have the functionality to lock the Mega 360 into Side Imaging and display it?
This is the best way to display a Side Imaging from the bow of the boat not with the trolling motor.

3) when will the manual be online?

What is that mounting shelf you have on the dash? Does that say "Bass Base"? Would like to check that out for my rig.

What is the power draw and the weight of the 9" unit? Those two specs are not listed on the Humminbird website.

Can you share a screen with live view, such as mapping and live at the same time?

On a related topic, would someone at Minnkota/Humminbird work on getting the target lock pole to work at the same speed as the Quest trolling when the Minnkota button is engaged and eliminate the lag/delay time? When using ML for suspended fish, the delay is not helpful in staying on the fish.

If Johnson outdoors has taught me anything, it’s don’t be the first to Buy. Takes many updates, some returns etc to get things working. Still have helix ice 9 ML combo that freezes up. Switch control heads and works fine. Put ice unit back and it freezes. Gave up on open tickets. I’ll switch to XPLORE some day. Gonna be a while to trust them again

For those with existing Solix G1 & G3, what is the compatibility of Xplore on the same network?
I see no reference on 1 boat network of controlling older Talons?
I saw in another video that G3 Solix can run the new software and MLive 2. If you had a G1 Solix on that network, can they stay on legacy software and still share waypoints, etc.?

It really sucks Explore and Helix can not exist on the same network or share data. That means I have to replace all of my Helix's to be able to use this new graph. I could have both in the boat, but I would have to choose which system to connect to the trolling motor and my accessories. If I have to run 2 systems, why not run a Garmin and Helix? Stupid move Humminbird, you failed with Live 1, and now you failed with the Explore. Really shows what kind of company Humminbird is now and how much Humminbird cares about their loyal fanbase.

Does it have mosaic (on-line structure map drawing) option?
Does it able to scroll side scan history?
Will it work with old AS GPS HS? If yes, how to connect?
Does it able to connect with 2 transducers via Y-adapter to avoid shadow from motor underwater unit?

Bought a new boat this year and had dealer upgrade the Helix 5 to a 7. After a few months I was thinking about the Helix 9 which will just fit on my dash. Glad I didn't as I will be getting the Xplore #9 this year .

Man... even the 12" doesn't come with 1080P resolution?? A product released in 2024. I prefer the image and user interface of Humminbird over Garmin, but Garmin offers 1080P even in a 10" screen. I don't have space for a 13" Apex on my boat and no other unit, regardless of price offers 1080P resolution.

Not being able to link with helix is a deal breaker for me. Last year I spent $7, 500 to buy all new g4 units and linked up all units as well as gps puck, mega 360 and mega live. I feel humminbird just screwed up badly . Humminbird must have hired the former marketing director of Bud Light. As bud light did not care about their core customers either. I hope humminbird customers will treat humminbird like former bud light drinkers treated bud light. I guess Garmin will become the new “Modelo”.

Can you transfer back to the Xplore from your phone to update waypoint names and icons if you spend time updating them on your phone?

I want to see real world side by side comparison against Garmin, using both 12 inch units and Mega Live 2 against Panopics Live Scope LVS 34 on the water. This is the only way for current users of the Helix.

So dumb you can’t link a Helix with an xplore model. Humminbird made adapter cables for just about everything else previously. Should have just added one more port to do this.

Not sure if I understand why anyone with a solix g3 would want to upgrade - for sure I don’t see a reason. Looks like the solix g3 can do everything this does + Solix has more ports. Solix isn’t slow while using it and the software changes on Xplore aren’t even major. Clicking another button to change my side imaging range takes 5 seconds. And I don’t mind grouping waypoints with a bit more effort as I’m hardly doing this anyways - I’m not exactly circling and sending waypoints, just about ever. Hoping there’s more to this update to be shared.

Would not have bought 2 brand new helix units 5 months ago if I knew this. What a let down that they are basically already obsolete when it comes to ffs.
