Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.

Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.

Drawing from her chemistry background and her maker spirit, Mrs. Soap & Clay infuses her favorite things into her soapy designs and creates products that are fun to see, use, and learn to make. Stick around for this ride - she'll take you on a great one.

I have to thank you so much for this melt and pour recipe. Soaping is my therapy and I love to soap with my granddaughter. She’s really creative and fun. I love that I can make my own melt and pour knowing all the ingredients and that it’s still a homemade soap. By the way the soap itself is beautiful. I love it.

Can’t wait to make some melt and pour. You make me want to try everything 😂.

PS Be careful what you wish for, we are still shoveling the three feet of snow we received last week in negative 15 to 20 degrees this week. 🥶

I can’t wait to try this. I’ve never made my own m&p before. Waaaay back in high school I used to do the smokey eye look by putting on my mascara at night. There was alway all kinds of mascara all over my pillowcase in the morning.

Hi, I love your channel. I just made your melt and pour and it turned out very nice! I just love it. I am excited to be able to make a more natural product than the commercial brands I have been buying. I added all the same additives too! thank you!

I love all of your videos you are always so helpful, and being new to soaping I feel that your platform is super helpful to a novice to professional. I tried your white melt and pour soap base this weekend and made my first batch. I was so excited it looked exactly like yours it was a win, unfortunately after leaving in the mold for 24 hours I cut it. A little sticky but not a deal breaker, the next day it was so slippery it would literally slip out of my hand. I followed the recipe with no variations so not sure where I went wrong. I live in the deep south with super high humidity. I have placed it in curing area with fan and dehumidifier hoping it will help. So should I lessen the amount of glycerin in the future. I know it operator error it has to be any insights would be really appreciated.
