I have nothing to worry about, i have no money, space, and motivation to own a boat, but I have a lot of time watching videos of people restoring one.

How is this Chanel not a mainstream Chanel in the boating community

Most important rule has to be; "Don't polish a Turd". #10 can give some room to violate some of the other rules if that is what you want.( I had a reason for the $$$ in my electronics :) ) Vids like these help me stay motivated to complete my hanger queen and get her wet again... and soon!

Great video. I’m doing a complete restoration on my 30-year-old Compac 23/3. Semper Fi!

Thanks for the video, I would like to add to number 10 if I may. I'm a contractor who works on larger projects from time to time. I work alone so a bigger projects can seem daunting. I dont look too far forward, I just start checking boxes, crossing things off the list. This will keep you somewhat sane. Good luck to all that partake

This is the first one of your videos that I've watched.
I am very impressed by what you are doing. Choosing that Albin to restore proves to me that you're exceptional.
One thing that i want to say is that many suppliers are happy to set people up with discounts based not on some phony company name or just because someone is a
"Commercial Fisherman".
Rather, pricing is based on how much you actually buy.
One rule that keeps me in good stead with my suppliers is always think about what you're ordering and NEVER waste their Time and Money Returning Stuff.
If you want to combine your resources by including a friend when buying that's great, and normally the fact that you're taxable will not affect your prices at all.
But make sure that your friends know from the start that this isn't fricken kmart and you Keep what you order. Because nothing will get you blackballed faster than testing the patience of a supplier who is willing to give you a break by opening an account.
Additionally, don't ask for terms like 30days.
Pay Cash.
Thank You.

Momentum is a big one. It took me a year to build my sharpie while working 12 hour days. Every day I would work on it even if it was just 10 minutes. Oh, don’t forget about lists. Got to stay organized. Cheers.

Excellent words to guide a person toward and through any restoration project.

I've got my sailboat under a couple of huge oak trees in my back yard. They are a mess dropping leaves, acorns, twigs, and sap. It makes working on the boat really hard. Any ideas to make my project easier ? Where can I purchase discount materials and used equipment ?

Unrelated to the topic of this video, is that the lighting or did you put a satin finish on the topsides (the red)? It looks great, but that's pretty unusual, right? Or is it?

We should be hanging out at retirement community’s to talk too old timers. They have keys long lost to the locks of time.

I would add Rule #11: Work safely with proper eye, lung, hearing, and skin protection.

Biggest rule foer me is to plan ahead. What is your finished boat or small project going to look. Estimated time times 3 every time
