Getting Your ASS to CHINA! It's EASY!

My last retire in China video missed the mark. It was supposed to be how to come to China and somehow turned into why come to China? This one I think hits the topic of actually how to get your ass to China. Thanks to everyone for the feed back that made this video a reality.
Help support this channel. We try to show the good side of China.

a residence permit will be granted to someone who is either married to a Chinese woman or who works in China. If he works here he needs the working permitt first. It's not easy to get. Someone who wants to retire here will not get a long-term visa. Visas for over 60 years of age need a justification. That is the situation right now. I've been living here for 24 years and run a company that also employs foreigners. So I know the situation.

Medical insurance would be a problem if you are 65+ and retired in China as a foreigner. Guess that's why Gweilo still kept a place in Nanaimo lol. Life is always good when you are healthy.

I love China. I have been to China 12 times . All over.
I do lots of trading with Chinese companies for the past
25 years. Lots of China haters online who have never
Been to China and only speculate.

Thanks Kirk. This was great. China's been on the top of my bucket list for a long time now. Want to visit next year (if open) and am looking into retiring there but of course it's more important to get in my first reality trip to see if we're a good fit (of course we are but not silly enough to think that there won't be a bit of culture shock...I'm assuming at least). At retirement time (3 years away or sooner), I'm curious as to which consulate I deal with as I'm a dual citizen of both Canada and the US. 🇨🇦

Ok, but the next big question is, how do you make money in China? English teaching is being cracked down on (private academies are closing and elementary schools are cancelling their English curriculum). My job is somewhat safe because I teach at a university, but even there, I don't know if they will change the rules so that I can't work here. Not to mention the fact that if you are on a spousal visa, it's illegal for you to work anyway.

On top of that, if Thailand is any indication, various countries are making it harder to do visa runs. I can't prove it, but it seems likely that China will also make it harder in the future.

What foreigners in China (and other countries such as South Korea) have to face is that at a certain level, they don't want you there. They will tolerate you if you are of some benefit to them, but if you aren't Chinese (or Korean, or French, or whatever) if you are down on your luck (such as too sick to work for example) why should they help you?

Only the ones with open mind & respect come, please. We don't need arrogant assholes here only to take advantage of the good life & then bad mouth us as soon as they leave.

Taking up full time university courses or full time Chinese language classes at the China universities in China,
as a full time student,
would be one way to stay in China long term.
This would be a wonderful way,
to become very fluent in the Chinese language .

Kirk, as a fellow YouTuber myself and somebody planning on making the big leap, I found this video quite helpful. My wife and I, along with our two children, are planning on moving to China next year. We have most of everything already figured out, but this video is nonetheless helpful. Thanks for sharing.

PS. How does anyone live with that decaying death smell? 🤮

Always like to see your videos. Soon I'd like to make more videos for my YouTube channel. What kind of equipment do
you use? A good cellphone camera or a more sophisticated camera? Are you using a software program to steady the
picture? I would appreciate your feedback. You and WeiFong have a good weekend.
