I‘d think the lacking analog inputs are some issue on the emulation. The first Gran Turismo was one of the first games to support the original Dual Shock. The very original PS1 controller didn’t have the analogue sticks. Then came a Dual Analogue Pad, which added a little button to turn analogue on and off as some games were disturbed by the analogue stuff (iirc). Recent controllers obviously don’t have that switch and potentially need some fiddling in the emulator.

Did u say u was using the joypad on the ps3 versions? My mate has a ps3 and a wheel with force feedback which gave me a bit of a workout when i played gran turismo!😂

Great video! If you have a Logictech put the setting for PS4 on and it should work for PS3.

oh yea. good one. i was watching it closely while gettin excited to see the first GranTourismo at the end... oh yeah, that was it! especially this track u chose, perfect :) And to answer your question, no our thumbs wasnt "finessed". Think back... and be honest... we just grinded the wall if necessary xD

My first GT was GT1 on PS1 - a cracked Japan version… 😅
And I have used the NeGcon Controller - does anybody remember?
PS3 and GT3 were the first with a force feedback wheel from Thrustmaster.

One of my favourite tracks was Autumn Ring on GT Concept. But the game that gives me the most nostalgia is GT3, partly because of the epic soundtrack.

PD should be hopefully eventually adding old content back in! Thats my hope and wish anyway.... ive got so many ideas for PD if for example they do an old theme, they could model classic tracks as well as cars as well as the racing suits and goggles....

the Seattle track i want back because i used to reenact Steve Mcqueen when that Ford advert with the Ford Cougar used Steve McQueens likeness to do the advert! Or failing the Seattle track... I do think PD are working on old tracks.... I know the stadium and alot of the layout of the Seattle track would have to be changed as that was discussed in GTPlanet forums yrs ago

plenty of the old tracks i want back, plenty of the old cars and old concept cars i want back too.... but would PD go and scan the Tank car for example, actually i think they would if theyve bothered to model the moon and the moon buggy as well as ambulances and nazi trucks LOL
