I’ve had guests override the PIN lock and I can no longer control the thermostat. How have they done that? How can I stop them doing it and how can I remotely reset the thermostat? Any ideas please.

I just started working maintenance at a pretty much brand new property with a 165 apartments that are all occupied now. I got a call from a resident saying he and his roommate are at "ends" and the roommate moved out but before moving out he took the petty route and turned the A/C on and down to 50. Which in Colorado and in the middle of winter is not cool. And then set the pin to a unknown number. Long story short, is there any way to factory reset it without knowing the pin or having access to it through the app?

My landlord locked the thermostat to 72° in a one bedroom apartment and it's still so cold. It is an old building but it is fixed up and I bought a heater and it raised the temperature to 75° in the room Do you know he can see it on his phone app ? Also do you know if there is a law saying no to a heater in Ontario Canada? I'm just wanting to know if he will charge me for extra money for the cost of the heater cost during the winter month, as it states no heaters in the apartment in the rules of the building

We just installed a Nest E thermostat I think it is and I locked it last night to stop the kids from changing it. I woke up this morning and my pin won’t work and the thermostat has disappeared from my app so I’m completely locked out and freezing. I hope you can help.
