How to Master Art Faster Than Everyone Else

In the Mindful Drawing Course (above) we will focus on how to express ourselves from an intuitive place and reflect upon our experience. I wish someone had taught me this way of drawing when I was a beginner because it would have made my artistic journey much easier

In this video lesson I discuss one of the best strategies for improving your art, which is project based learning. Doing a finished project is a great way to develop your skills because it creates a loop of learning where you learn from each piece and apply it to the next.

It's important to make the scope of the project realistic for your level of skill, that is why I recommend that beginners start with smaller projects instead of being overly ambitious.

omfg...i been doing this for several months. i call it 'the theme of my first show' i keep drawing the same thing, different settings allowing me to play with my favorite color over and over again.

I lost my creativity over the past few years from being too much of a perfectionist. Im trying to imporve more as an artist while also finding my love for art again. I have no personal projects since all i didnt was figure practice from 4 years so im happy to try this out!

i find drawing with a ball point pen helps me alot (doesnt matter the brand but i use bic) because you can’t erase anything forcing you to continue especially when learning the basics and after some time of continuous drawing of the basic shapes how you would do anatomy etc you see a massive improvement because you can see where you went wrong before or where it may not be as symmetrical so you can adjust everytime you draw it till you get the right shape same goes for faces eyes noses and just about everything else too
