The CEO of Spotify fundamentally believes that artists should not be paid. He made his career on the labour of music artists and refuses to pay them, and then sinks millions into podcasts

Inspiration is complex human trait. Like feelings or emotions, an AI can't have them.

So, by definition, AI can't get inspired.

This "inspiration" excuse is because the companies don't want to share their profits.

Not to long ago there was controversy after Paul McCartney said they were using Ai in the last Beatles song (releasing on Thursday). People were worried that he ment they were creating John's voice with ai which wouldn't feel right. Luckilly, Paul came out and assured us that nothing was being created, and that they were just using technology to extract John's vocals from some demo tapes. No Ai would be creating anything. But it goes tk show how using Ai to create mimics of things or people is unsettling.

The last Beatles song "Now and Then, " written by John and produced by George, Paul, and Ringo (finished in 2023) will release on Thursday at 10:00 am US time and 2:00 pm UK time (if I'm not mistaken)
It will be the last song the Beatles ever release.

if youre using their music to train a Neural network, then selling access to that neural network then people who’s work was used should be either paid for in shares of the company, a one time payment which the artist agrees to or a % of all revenue from the product

I've been playing guitar for twenty years. Personally, I think AI can have a lot of value in recording, replacing your "producer". But I don't want an AI pretending to be me...idk just creeps me out. I think it's important to remember this technology can be used for as much bad as good. We have to careful and draw these lines somewhere.

The AI Training copies the data into whatever database the ai draws from to output its dreadfully uninspired product.
