Owning a crazy setup and playing Forza is like buying a massive garage for your single bicycle.

That's what you get for 750 bucks vs 250.

the fanatec wheel doesn't oscillate because it never gets shipped to you.

Forza is not a sim, which means it doesn't generate a lot of details in software to send to wheel to use and interprent, so it cant use full potential of the direct drive wheel. Try assetto corsa or ac competizione, these games made me into sim racing, last 3 months in iRacing mostly. I started in March last year with logitech for 3 months and then when I got my DD it was a complete change in how much I could learn mostly because I could really feel the car and the tyre's grip and now I cant have a day without a proper 8Nm race for my biceps and triceps :D wish you all the best keep up with the videos ❤

the Logitech wheels, you need to go into the settings and change the sensitivity settings of the wheel on the Logitech software on your PC.

Logitech uses mechanical gears to connect the motor to the when. The gears have quite a lot of play, so movement is gonna lag a bit and you always feel a small dead zone when steering in the opposite direction.

Direct drive is obviously the best. But often quite expensive. If you want something in the middle go for a belt driven system from thrustmaster

I just picked up a G923 during Prime Day. Was going to return it without even trying it because of all the noise videos I watched. Decided to try it out. I mounted it to a Fanatec wheel stand and put rubber spacers between the wheel and the mounting plate, with all default wheel settings in Forza ‘23 it’s quiet as hell. No clanking or any of the other noises some are reporting.

On top of that - CSL-DD is 399 as listed in the title, but that's just the dd unit itself, not the wheel, not the shifter, and not the pedals. Whereas with the logitech, all that's included for the 349 the title claims it costs.

On my second g920, been using them years, thing is they are 200 quid and if you add another 50-60£ for a loadcell brake mod you can be as fast as anyone regardless of what they spend. People upgrade, gain and extra half second pl and dont realize its all in the brake pedal.

Yea when you change all the parameters in the wheel to fit a narrative

I found that the oscillation problem also depends on the game, not just the steering wheel.

A friend has a logitech setup. What I hear in my headset is it beating him against a wall.

I use a G920 to simulate 1.9TDI engine sounds, works pretty well in that regard
