Beware of bargains in parachutes, ice machines, and flash drives.

My parents brought it for me, and now I don't know what to do with it, I return it to my parents and now they finally know the truth that sometimes cheap stuff doesn't always good

I bought a SD card for my camera in my travel in India. Took a whole days worth of pics and when I went back to copy them there was no data I couldn't do anything but weep😢

A whole complete video in 47 seconds, impressive

I've also seen chip names scratched out in legitimate flash drives. And from what I read once this is usually done on reject flash chips that are then outsourced to cheaper manufacturer. Usually SanDisk chips are scratched out.

2t for 5$, that is like a new car for 10 bucks.

1. "Aleee" Express, not "Ally" Express
2. You don't need to copy/paste to check. Lots of tools can check that for you

These cheap thumbdrives with "2TB" or something like that are like black holes for data most of the data you put on it "disappears" disappears in quotation marks because some data stays like the metadata(filenames, file sizes and file properties) or data that wasn't overwritten

When USB flash storage standards were finalised, endpoint counters were considered but not included. This simplified the production process but relied on the "bona fide" of the manufacturers to report the correct amount of memory available.
It also proved that the concept of "bona fide" is unknown in some parts of the world...

They got me in Shenzen border mall the way back in 2006. Once I requested a size the owner sent a little guy somewhere to get and he scurried off. I I'm sure they were just editing the mbr etc to what I paid for. He shows back up a couple minutes later with exactly the right size I wanted. (unless you insisted on doing a low level format before you buy, i thought about that later, but lesson learned)

You should find them and bring them to justice.
