Welcome back to another month of the Gluten Free Baking Challenge! This month, we’re making an EASY GLUTEN FREE SCONES RECIPE

These are British-inspired scones, similar to but not the same as Southern Biscuits or American Scones.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

2 cups (265g) gluten free flour
2 tablespoons (30g) granulated sugar
1 tablespoon (10g) aluminum free baking powder
1/2 teaspoon (5g) fine sea salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
4 tablespoon unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1 large egg, beaten
2/3 cup buttermilk, cold

I addded the 2 c of gf flour (Bob's Red Mill) and it was too dry. Maybe every brand works differently.

What did you add to the gluten free flour. It was not very distinct.

Tastes just like a buttermilk bisquit and the batch was a bit dry when directions followed perfectly.
