Huckleberry Finn is a continuation of "The adventures of Tom Sawyer" book from the same author actually! I read it in around 5th or 6th & 7th grade (both books) & it was really fun teenagehood book literally ❤

oh i'm currently reading notre-dame de paris! so far i really love how it talks about architecture and the connection between quasimodo and the notre-dame (which, at the time that victor hugo was writing the book, was a deeply scarred and mutilated building--the novel actually inspired a restoration of the cathedral)

I’m about to sit my final exams for my economics masters. I am incredibly anxious about them as this academic year has been nothing but a struggle. Lud-in-the-Mist is a wonderful, intoxicating read. It may require prior excursions to both Victorian and early 20th century mythopoeic works to be truly savored, though.

Still, if you do find yourself enjoying Mirrlees, you'll eventually obsess over John Crowley's Little Big -- and, to a lesser extent, Gaiman's Stardust, Emma Bull's War for the Oaks and Jonathan Carroll's The Land of Laughs.
