📚🫖 a big london book haul because i lack self-control

hey besties! whilst i was in london last week, i filmed a little book haul with all of the books i ended up buying whilst there — i only wanted to buy a few books... but as always with book shopping in london, i ended up with too many!

i loved the heartstopper adaptation so much. it’s truly so amazing to have representation that feels so genuine and real, and where all the characters are not going through absolute hell every episode. Just truly queer happiness.

Heartstopper is amazing. Very well done. I like how when most shows are so dark, storywise and cinematography wise, (not that there's anything wrong with it, but when it's on every show) this is allowed to be bright and that Nick is allowed to explore and find out his sexually on his own and Charlie lets him do that. The friendships are great and Tao only asks out because he's scared that Nick might hurt Charlie and it had more going on in the show than just Nick and Charlie's relationship. It was amazing how they were able to fit everything in, in such a sort season and timing of the episodes.

heartstopper has easily become my comfort series. i saw myself in all the characters and i couldn't stop crying watching it. it was so well done and true to the series. it made my heart so so happy to see young queer people getting the love and joy they deserve. definitely a show i wish i had when i was a teen. :) i've also been interested in reading some of the books isaac read in heartstopper! i grabbed gender explorers from the library and really enjoy it so far! lovely video as always!

This is really weird! I feel like the Kemosha goodreads review was me!!! I've been trying to tell as many people about the book as possible. I loved it!!! It's WLW, Pirates and freedom fighting, more people need to go and read it, when I read it I think it was around like 20 ratings!!!

Heartstopper is not a show I'd naturally gravitate to but I'm so so so glad I gave into the hype and watched it 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Everything about it was just 👌🏾 The LGBTQIA + representation, the Britishness, the cuteness, the realness was all just 🤯🤩

As a fellow fantasy fan, I've thought about this a lot and would love to hear a deep dive on the topic ^.^ I also find themes of alienation/inability for the hero to move on after the journey's end intriguing (maybe this feeling is another kind of tragedy, despite the journey being completed) 🥲

OMG you picked up That is literally my favorite SW book! It's It's got amazing queer characters, an amazing aesthetic and her writing is so beautiful. I don't say someone's writing is beautiful that often but that is literally the only way I can think to describe Emma's writing. I think you'll really like it.

fullmetal alchemist (FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST)! no contest, my absolute favourite manga series ever, and one of my favourite stories of all time! Please let us know your thoughts when you get a chance to read it, really hope you enjoy! Also give the animal (FMA: Brotherhood) a go a some point as well, its a really great adaption.

woww possibly the best book haul i have ever watched (i love the variety). i found heartstopper to be incredibly heartwarming and i loved how similar it was to the graphic novels because they are just perfect. i would love to see the video essay on tragedy since i’m studying tragic literature for a level and i am in awe with everything you post!!
