I have a kind of book of the month thing going on because for Christmas my sister got me a box of books, each is wrapped, each labels have a month n them and some quotes about the books. So it’s a mystery book of the month sort of thing. It’s one of the best presents I’ve ever received

Jack, may I preface this by saying I don’t mean to rush you or sound ungrateful as a viewer. But are you going to make a “What I read in 2022?” or a “My favourite reads of 2022?”. No rush, I just wanted to know. Thanks for making reading cool 👌🏾

In the dream house is such an important book, you learn a lot. The choose your own path chapter was jarring and really shows you what it's like to be in an abusive relationship.

Babel changed my life. I had never felt so seen. I devoured that book. Especially as a female of colour working in a very white-male occupation that is meant to "serve queen and country", and who went to a gothic, secluded ( also predominantly white and male) university on a peninsula that was preparing us for that occupation, I felt like R.F. Kuang looked into my soul and wrote my experiences on a page. There were some parts/conversations in the book that were so accurate and that mirrored my real life experiences so well that I felt like she had spied on my life and the wrote a book about it. At least the beginning part.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the book Jack. I wrote a similar comment on Ruby Granger's video because she picked up the book recently too, so I guess you guys will be reading it at the same time. I have never been so excited for two people to read a book. Can't wait to hear your opinion on it in a future video!

Young Mungo was one of my favorite books of 2022. I read it as an ARC and bought a physical copy as soon as it came out. I really hope you enjoy it as it instantly became one of my favorite books ever!!

I just read 'I Who Have Never Known Men' in December. And honestly, it's now one of my all-time favourites. It took me a bit to get into but after I got over that, I was addicted. I found it so intriguing, I couldn't put it down. I don't know if I'll ever be able to stop thinking about it tbh

I Who Have Never Known Men has been one of my all time favorite reads that truly looks into what makes us human, what makes love, and friendship. I am crazy enough to have gotten my favorite line from the book tattooed on me!
