I’m an autistic person, thank you for actually saying this about us. Defending him and give me more confidence about my spectrum. You really described the struggles very well and you are great!

As an older sister who has an autistic little brother, I want to thank you for sharing this. My baby brother does this all the time, he can't really say words, but he knows what they mean. I might be a crybaby, but when he was going to school for the first time, he looked at me and asked, "Kiss?" and gave me a kissed on the cheek before running into the school. I cried the car way home with my mom in happiness :, )

I myself have autism. People rarely realize it until I tell them, but I have it. I had a fairly normal childhood for a kid with aspergers, but there were always the bullies we deal with. I grew to be really aggressive and loud, but I'm trying to stop that behavior for my wife and daughter.

My brother who’s 8 years older than me has autism, when I was young I wasn’t really told what autism was just that he had it. Often he would become really angry and sometimes violent and for a long time I thought that’s what autism was.

At 19 I was diagnosed with autism, and finally learning about it definitely made me understand my brother and myself more. And honestly I’m way happier now that I know I’m autistic and that my behaviours and what I feel are normal. This video was really sweet and wholesome and I love how you stand up for your brother !

I’m neurodivergent, and I’m so glad you talked about our struggles. Some people aren’t aware we’re not just some stupid people or some super humans, we’re just Normal people. Nothing special.

My grandma works at school district with special needs and behavior disorders for 25 years and she really love it she loves the kids and working with them. She treats them like her own kids whenever there's a bully involved, she will always get back at them by Fussing at them meanily.

Hearing you be so open minded and supportive about your autistic brother is so encouraging and heartwarming!

I'm also autistic, I had it diagnosed at age 16 and before then, I struggled really hard trying to socialize.
Aside from autism, I've been diagnosed with mutism, too, so that didn't help at all. Basically I've been known as the "silent art kid that hates socializing" until my official diagnosis.

Later finding out that I am on the spectrum definitely helped me a lot figuring out how I should deal with everything, my family has always been very supportive, most other people too (with a few extreme exceptions, namely some teachers, one of the principals at the time...).

Now I'm working a stable job "as any ordinary person would", something those few extreme exceptions said I would never be able to.
And that job it is actually one that requires communication with clients. And it's lots of fun, coworkers were actually shocked that I told them about my diagnosis after already working with them for over 5 years. They said they never thought that anything was "strange" about me that would make them think I was autistic.

So just because someone's on the spectrum, doesn't mean they can't ever live a fulfilling "normal" life.

It’s heart warming, that she would use 1 wish on not idiotic selfish reasons, but use the wish to have a “Proper” conversation with her brother. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤❤❤ Best older sister ever.

Yoon, as someone with autism, for what it’s worth. I’d imagine that your brother thinks very highly of his big sister and even if he doesn’t talk back I promise you he listens. I have met many people like how you have described your brother and they always have such open hearts that their world view is just so vibrant and beautiful.

I'm autistic and my entire family saw me as a burden and wanted me gone. Seeing an allistic person talk about their autistic sibling, seeing that you actually did proper research, listening you talk about your brother in a way that shows you recognized his differences without treating him as lessor, etc., it just makes me so happy.

There’s this kid in my school. He has autism and is bullied by this one dude that I used to be friends with. I always feel sorry for him bc his teachers don’t treat him right and they don’t realize how much bullying he has gone through. Me and him are friends. He is really nice and funny if you get to know him. I just don’t get why ppl think autism is weird? They are normal human beings with just a little extra spice that makes them amazing <3.
