Because of the high cost of legal fees and all of the fast changing laws in Los Angeles County, I am currently trying to evict a tenant that owes us over 80k. All these tactics are fine for big corporations but you are beating up mom and pop landlords, the landlords that have historically been understanding and slow to evict. Once all the mom and pop landlords leave the market and all the investment firms have bought up all the real-estate, you can thank lawyers like this for the corporate hell scape that will be the rental market.

There has been a person knocking on my door twice this week while I have been gone. The first time my neighbor said I was visiting my mom in the hospital. Would they keep trying to serve an apartment instead of just taping a notice on my door?

Why does he say Landlords are Rich?? What about a retired person who has struggled all their life, using their vacation time to work on their rental house, to plan a retirement income?

People like this guy helping bums out make it hard for honest tenants. Now when I was able to buy property I invested in a farm not rental houses. When I did rent I paid my bills and kept my home up
I never had a problem with a landlord because I am no bum.

How can you defend these losers? Why? I've only listened to the first 5 minutes and I just can't believe it. Telling them to change the locks, get a dog?
No wonder there is a housing shortage in California. Why would anyone want to rent to someone in California? Landlords always lose with these ridiculous delay tactics the things you're telling them to do. I'm just a mom who built a guest house for her daughter. She moved in a boyfriend against my advice. Well, he broke up with her and now won't leave. He's been there four months. I got no money during covid, I'm not some greedy commercial landlord. I'm just a mom who wanted to safely house my mentally ill adult daughter, and now we are all suffering and can't get this guy out. People like you are helping him. Why?
