I just went through this process. My ex-complex did send the eviction to collections and that company did report it on my credit. However, it’s not the end of the world (I thought it was at the time). I worked out a deal with the collectors to remove the collection after I paid it off and they honored it. Since the debt was sold it was never reported on my record so I’m able to find a new place stress free. It’s possible to bounce back just stay focused and educated.

I just recently tried to talk to my landlord but they told me I have to go through the process. I was laid off from my job found a new one and had to give them a due date for payment, but they weren't hearing it and told me they had to continue through the process. I have to go to court Monday pray for us please

How about landlords don’t charge 2k for a 1 bedroom that no one can afford! And then Landlords raise the price every year. Life has become too expensive to live. Don’t blame the tenants they are trying the landlords are predatory. I remember when a 1 bedroom was $750. Now they charge you for parking in your own apartment, mandatory cable, mandatory trash, pay rent for a pet, increase rent price for a old building. There should be a list of landlords that overprice the cost of apartments then kick out people who are trying to pay but salaries don’t even pay 3 times the rent which is what is required.

Also, we never posted to the door. We talk, understand then go from there. Have had tenants pay 3 months rent cash on a random Tuesday after being late 3 months. They respect us and we respect them. 160 units and growing

On another note.
The eviction itself won't show up on your credit report. However, a landlord may choose to seek payment of unpaid rent by selling your debt to a collection agency. If your unpaid debt goes to collection it will show up on your credit report as an unpaid bill. If you pay the bill a year later then what is there to report??

I pay my rent ontime and im a decent tenant but I can't afford another rent increase, my rent was increased 90 days ago, all of a sudden 90 days later I'm getting hit with another increase, how is this going to look when I have to go to court cuz LL is a money hungry🤡 and I can't afford to shell out anymore money cuz I have 3 kids and other bills? So basically me and my kids go homeless and I'm stuck with an eviction record and nobody will give me an apt becuz of a slumlord?

Come from a town of 700, gramps owned many rentals in town. I remember one instance he was going to evict a family, father fell to hard times even though they were known to work hard. Gramps went to evict and saw they had 2 kids, (one newborn one toddler) Gramps didn’t have the heart to put them out. Even bought the kids a bed frame so they didn’t have their mattress on the floor. Gramps was a man amongst men. We are all still Americans trying to find the American dream

My neighbor is feeding squirrels and rats with peanuts even throwing them on my property

The squirrels damaged my roof shingles

My landlord sent me a notice demanding I "replace" my roof for only a few missing singles due to damage from my neighbors "pet" squirrels
And now rats are attacking my home too from this!

I got evicted from my apartment at age 20, I lived there for 2 entire years and was at the start of my renewed lease, i wasn’t evicted for nonpayment, I was evicted because I was “a danger” to my neighbors. It’s been 5 years exactly since my eviction hit my record, I live with my sister at the moment and I’ve been wanting to get my own place but been hesitant because I know I’m going to get denied. I have the income to show I can pay and also a 600 credit score. What can I do ? I need help!

Landlords are more like predatory sharks. They sit on properties that are 50 yrs old, when something’s needs fixing they use the the worst and cheapest handyman who does the most inexperienced job and then the landlord expects to rent a 2 bed for $3600!!!should anyone be sick one week and this causes be backed up on rent they have people like you saying anyone that gets evicted CHOOSES TO NOT PAY RENT! Ridiculous how you truly believe this is anyones reality.
