The post-birth abortion lie started when, during a 2019 radio interview, former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (a pediatric neurologist) was asked if women should be able to access late-term abortions and if he supported state legislation that would lift restrictions on them. He explained that third-trimester abortions come into the discussion when there are “severe deformities” or “non-viable” fetuses. In other words, babies that cannot survive outside the womb without extraordinary life-saving measures. He spoke about infants being kept “comfortable.” He even pressed that multiple physicians being present is advisable in such cases because of how challenging it is to decide whether to keep a baby alive who will soon die anyway.

My brother's longstanding theory, that I've seen plenty of evidence in favor of: the more Christian the individual, the less of the bible they've read. Most of the former Christians I've known lost their faith after reading the bible cover-to-cover

For the post-birth abortion question, my thought is that someone has heard about parents who refuse to abort a fetus with "conditions incompatible with life", and who chose instead to carry the baby to term and then allow them to pass shortly after birth by refusing life-extending treatment. That story then gets twisted through a game of telephone to be "they are just letting babies die" and then from there "they are killing babies after they are born" and then it's a very small step to "they are aborting the baby after it's born." But that is just a guess on my part.
