How to Remove an Ingrown Big Toenail for Pain Relief ♥ Pedicure ♥

How to remove an ingrown toenail during a pedicure service. I This is a very necessary procedure to learn and you should not feel timid about it. Ingrown toenails should be removed during a pedicure service as long as they are not infected. If they are infected you should refer them to a podiatrist.

People seek the help of nail technicians for more reasons than having their toes look pretty and polished. If you are unable to meet those needs they will keep looking for another technician than can. Let's continue to give reputable services and be proud of the care you deliver in your career.

I once had a horrible ingrown toenail i tried to remove myself. i went to go get a pedicure to just clean my feet. The tech seen it was still swollen and infected. Without asking he took it out with very minimal pain. i was beyond grateful and he also recommend i see a doctor after but there wasn't any need it was gone and never came back. Thank God for nail techs who are trained to do this. 😃👍💅

Lori, these videos are amazing! After completing your online academy, I have seen growth in my business, but I always look forward to seeing more of these videos as I know there’s still so much more information to absorb! Here, in the Pacific Northwest many of the people I see have problem toes or are about to have them. The ones that are about to have them from the compacted debris are amazed at the deep cleaning they receive when they sit in my chair! Thank you so much!

You were so gentle with that ingrown toenail, having so much patience. I admit I would go a lot deeper. I get overwhelmed with those things. Good job!

Excellent! I loved giving pedicures when I was a nail tech. I loved making people feel better! I just wish I could find a tech that I know will give me a good pedicure. My toenails are like his, & it's difficult for me to cut out my own ingrown ones. In my itty bitty town, the "pedicures" that are offered are basically a little rub with lotion & cutting & polishing the nails. I took pride in my pedicures. I was taught to do the best job I could do & I wanted to do just that. I guess that's why I enjoy watching your videos. It's refreshing to see someone doing things the right way.

I realize that I am probably stating the obvious here but you honestly have the nicest, kindest viewer of ANY channel I have ever watched! Even on lovely inspirational videos people say such horrible, disgusting and hateful comments. You honestly, literally have the sweetest viewers in the world. You deserve every single one of those compliments from them. People can see right away how caring, professional and lovely you are. The best part (in my opinion) is how you elevate the general public’s perception of what aestheticians actually do and are such a positive example for people considering this career. I think it would be fun to show a day in the life of a successful business owner and hear about how you started out and what you have built for yourself. I’d have about a million questions right off of the top of my head . So I totally know that comment was waaaay too long and cheesy but I just wanted you to know you are very inspiring to me. Thanks for making your videos.

Love your very educational and helpful videos! This is one I've been waiting to see! I do the same with ingrown toenails;; remove the hook and also the hard skin that grows alongside the nail. It's reassuring to know that you recommend this, and I seem to be doing the right thing for my clients. Thank you!

This nail is not truly ingrown, but it is impacted, for sure. A truly ingrown nail usually requires surgical intervention as it is usually ingrown it to the cuticle area and a doctor removes it at the matrix in an attempt to prevent it from coming back. I make this distinction because removing actual ingrown is painful and sometimes people look to tutorials to soceytgeirbown problems and in the process, they create more.
HOWEVER, this is not an attempt to correct the Meticulous Manicurist. I think your tutorials are just fabulous. It is evident that you care for the client and your work is beautiful.

Who are you and where are you? You did an amazing job! I've only seen one other pedicurist as adept as you, Vicky Mandel and that was 30 years ago. I grew up and worked in a hair salon . You're the BEST.

Subbing because you really are the most meticulous, most informative, most educational, nail person on YouTube! I have extremely bad ingrown toenails. Like they are horrible! I am embarrassed to go get a pedicure and scared to let someone else cut my nails for me. It's a huge process when I cut them. I had NO IDEA that excess skin grows under there! Like NONE! I need to see a podiatrist and then start getting regular pedicures. The problem is, where I live there are no salons with English speaking techs and so it's hard to communicate with them and understand what's going on with the nails. They hardly speak at all when working on your nails. I don't like it.
