ESET Internet Security 10 Review

ESET Internet Security 10 (2017 version) is out! How does it perform in the standard TPSC full review? Functionally, w.r.t this test it should be similar to Smart Security.

The most disliked thing about eset for me is after it completes a scan, there is NO option to add any of them to the exclusion list. It is only clean, delete, no action.

Ublock origin addon (free) for Opera finds at least one (and probably most) of those links at the start. Ublock Origin is mainly and add-blocker.

I was having trouble with Firefox 50.? in a recent download of Ubuntu 16.04, with memory use going up-up-up regardless of add-ons, so I switched to Opera, and it works fine. Very fast, in fact.

Removed it since it has bugs like modules being deactivated all of a sudden. Will install it after Bitdifender expires.

This has some nice features in detecting ransomeware.

one thing i've learned from watching the pcsecurity channel.
you don't have to be totally dependant on any one anti-virus or be
brand miopic a ( " nutnfancy " ) term.
a lesson that could be applied to anything in life. to break dependancy.
and heir is an idea.

and on and on. you could probably have quality protection without having to pay for it. but do support these av. we don't want them going out of business.

Hi Leo. Thanks for another great review. I've been using ESET for two years now based on your reviews, and I've been happy. I'm a mac user however. Would it be possible to do a video or perhaps a short blog post on Mac users and the need (or not) for antivirus and malware protection? In addition, I noticed there are interface differences and probably technical differences between your windows version and my Mac version. Is the protection equivalent for the product between the two operating systems?
