But Sega's Phantasy Star Online 2 is now officially out in North America on Xbox One as a free-to-play MMORPG. While its unique brand of anime-style flair and pulse-pounding gameplay are far from what you'd expect in a typical online game, PSO2's amazing combat system, rewarding progression, and passionate community prove it was mostly worth the wait."

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the format Sega chose for Micro Transactions here. People act like F2P games shouldn't make money somehow. FUN points are free too.

You can actually F2P the whole game without spending a dime and still get the cosmetics and items you want. As long as you know what you're doing and is determined to do so.

I remember playing the first one on Dreamcast (Rented not owned, I was poor), and being blown away and that's a vet that played Phantasy Star 1 - 4 on Sega religiously as a kid, so to say I've been waiting for this one is an understatement...

It was pretty revolutionary that the first Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast was the first console Online Action RPG/MMORPG.

VERY worthy sequel. I've been loving the absolute hell out of PSO2 so far. It was an absolute shame we had to wait 8 years for it. But it was well worth it.

Game deserved at least an 8 in all honesty. This game surpasses most games out right now and it came out in 2012 while also being free to play.

Does the low grade of a 7 have anything to do with how they handled PC release? Because the with the words spoken, I expected at least a 8.5/10.

Just a sidenote, being that low of a level is easily achievable. Like literally a few days on NA.

I remember playing/loving both phantasy star online for GameCube and phantasy star universe on PS2, I'm excited to play this!
