Southern Cornbread Dressing for 2

Recipe for Small batch Cornbread
1/2 stick butter
1/2 onion chopped
1 stalk celery chopped
3 to 4 cups chicken stock
2 t. Poultry seasoning
2 t. Sage
1/2 t. Onion powder
Pepper
Salt to taste
2 slices of dry toast or left over biscuits
1/2 sleeve crackers crushed
Bake 350 for 30 minutes or till golden brown

Candied Sweet potatoes
1 Large Baked sweet potato sliced into 1/2 inch slices
1 T. Melted butter
1 T. Brown sugar
Pinch salt
Drizzle maple syrup
Bake 400 for 20 minutes

I'm by myself, and I still do either a whole turkey, or whole turkey breast. I make different recipes, slice some, portion and freeze and use the carcass to make bone broth for soup. Nothing is wasted!

My Georgia Granny made ambrosia for Christmas with pineapple, oranges, grapes and coconut. Of course she topped it with Georgia pecans. So good! I miss my Grannie! She made the best sourdough rolls too. God bless her memory!❤

I got us a small turkey breast they had them for .99 lb and I have everything else, but my sister in law passed away a week ago so I invited my brother in law to come to dinner. We will still will have alot! Thank God@❤

It's so interesting how different we are. My favorite part of turkey dinner was mashed potatoes with turkey gravy and still is today.

This helps out for us people who are by ourselves Miss Lori!!! Enjoy Thanksgiving with Mr. Brown there !!! All of that food will keep you all going !!! Sometimes I get hungry for a turkey so I will have a meat manger cut it in half for me !!! Then stuff half of it with cranberries & diced up celery with stick of butter in it !!! That is my stuffing it is good Son taught me that one !!! Other half is frozen or given away to someone else that needs it for Thanksgiving !!!

Haven’t been watching for awhile, so glad to be back! I live alone…no family to stop by. I’m trying very hard to be content in my circumstances and since I’ll be moving to a smaller, 500 sq ft senior apartment, my prayers is to bloom where I am planted.
