I thought something was wrong with ME for the longest time because I did not like this type of “Christian” music. I see everyone else crying and praising God and getting so emotional and I felt nothing. Actually a lot of the time I hated it and I thought am I not saved? Because this is so flat and useless to me! But old songs, like Mary did you know, that’s my child, he’s alive those make me bawl every time because it speaks of His greatness and grace and mercy. It moves my heart. The lyrics make sense. So I was so confused and I’m glad others are finally speaking about this subject. And speaking out loud that singing is not the only way to worship! I dont know why people specifically mean singing when they use that word. We worship in many many ways!

I did entertainment. I knew all about “warming up the audience”, etc. I went to a church one Sunday because my friend’s granddaughter was being baptized. I saw the singers and choir doing exactly what I did in a show. The baptism was an “aftermath”, like it didn’t matter as much as “the show”! I was so angry, I had to leave as soon as she was baptized, upstairs, in a room where the lights flashed on and off as soon as she was dunked under water. It was all timed with the music. Not cool. Not cool at all!!! Isn’t baptism one of the cornerstones of our belief?! SMH

Does anyone remember songs of praise like "AMAZING GRACE" or "HAVE THINE OWN WAY" or "WHEN MY LOVE FOR CHRIST GROWS WEAK"? These are just a few of the old songs of praise to our Lord.

When I am working in my yards and garden, doing household chores, or on a long road trip, I like to listen to music mostly Rock music. I got tired of singing to songs pertaining to sex, drugs, or evil, satanic lyrics. I found Christian Rock to be a great way to listen to the music (music is the same) and have positive lyrics pertaining to praising God, Christian living, help for when I would stumble... For me, I can hear God speaking through songs, especially when I need it...

The prophetic voices are saying that the "church" should unite. The only problem is I have no idea of what the church is these days. Their are many churches denying the basics of Christianity 101.
