I couldn't agree more: Joel is a motivational speaker, not a pastor. But if you present yourself as a motivational speaker, you can't collect tithes and offerings.

That man with the necklaces speaks truth.We are called to use our money to support missions and help the people in need. First in our own area. Churches need to outreach to the poor areas to help with their needs, and share Jesus Christ with those people. Proverbs 22:16.

I went to a church that preached that poverty was a curse and collected lots of money. I heard some members "decree and declare" whatever riches they wanted. They also played the lotto and prayed over the tickets. One woman was disappointed that she became broke after she became a believer and said when she practiced witchcraft the devil would always give her what she wanted. One woman left the church and made a pact with Satan and she became wealthy. You're going to serve one or the other 🤷.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. If Joel wants to be a motivational speaker that’s fine. But stay away from the pulpit where he can do less harm. Just keep God’s name out of it. Unless he’s going to preach the ACTUAL Gospel. It’s like someone on tv pretending to be a doctor in a pretend hospital . They aren’t doing much harm. If you took that same person pretending to be a doctor in a REAL hospital lives would be at stake. Joel’s pretending to be a pastor in front of real people and souls are at stake.

If God chose to bless me like that I'd keep a good amount but get RID of most of it.
