When mine and my husband’s first son was born, I was holding him and looked up at my husband with starry eyes and said “DO YOU LOVE HIM!?” And my husband said... “well I don’t know him?” 😂😂 the most honest answer he could’ve possibly given.

My brother was asleep when he came out 😆 they woke him up, he cried for like two minutes and then went straight back to sleep. We used to joke that that’s why he’s so lazy now.

My oldest baby didn't cry when born. I was so scared. The doctor said "he's looking around. He's fine". I thought he was lying until they brought him to me while they were stitching me up. Yup he was fine. Just looking.

I came out silent, my mom thought I was dead. I learned to walk at 10 months and then decided I was self sufficient enough that I didn't learn to talk until I was 3, then spoke in nearly full sentences. Also stayed bald till I was about 3-4. I think I'm an only child because my parents were scared of WTH the next one would do.

I’m really glad you mentioned that last part about how not everyone has that starry eyed love for their babies immediately. So many women feel guilty about it.

I have nothing to add, but commenting to try and counteract the stupid YouTube algorithm on filtering out educational content.

Love you MDJ!

I can imagine her being on the pill didn't work since she was flying through different time zones so much, and didn't take the pill the same time every day!

My son was stillborn, and I had the biggest, starry-eyed love for him that I’ve ever felt for another human being! There’s nothing in this world like the connection that you feel for your child...I will remember him forever.❤️

Dear YouTube, please monetize Mama Doctor Jones videos! I have learned so much invaluable information about women's health from her channel and her content is in no way inappropriate.

Quick: enroll Milo in language classes! It’s easier to get a flight attendant job if you speak multiple languages, and he is at peak language learning rn

I had my daughter without knowing I was pregnant, and I really appreciate you mentioning the point about some mom's not being immediately enamored/excited. That happened with me as I dealt with the shock and the guilt of not feeling motherly right away when my daughter needed me still bites a little.

“Some people need time to get to know the baby” This is the shit I told all my pregnant friends after I had my daughter. That was an amazing sentiment to add!!

When my first son was born, my grandma asked me what I thought if him. I point blank told her "He's a baby."

I was on a flight from Dallas to St Paul and a passenger went into premature labor. During the Christmas holiday, turbulence and snow. It was so scary but I've never seen a tougher woman. She labored for the entire flight, refused to have the plane rerouted or turned around. The main thing was how the entire flight banded together for her and supported her by counting her contractions and just being excellent humans. Beautiful experience, 10/10 would do again. ❤️

I had no idea my piano teacher was pregnant until she said “I’m temporarily closing the school in two months time because I’m having a baby”.

I wasn't one of those moms who cried tears of joy or was "so in love" when my daughter was born (even though I did love her). It was more like, "Ok, you're here. Let's get this show on the road." However, I did immediately feel very protective of her.

I'm a gay man with no reason to watch your channel and your energy just made me subscribe. Keep it up!

When she said she didn’t speak English well enough and didn’t know what pregnant was I cried. I felt awful for her. ❤
