Building a Turbo Diesel Camaro! Om606/8hp70

In this video you can watch me start a new build consisting of a 2011 5th Gen SS Camaro and a Mercedes Om606 diesel engine. This thing is gonna rip! Behind it I am using a 8hp70 8 speed transmission controlled by a turbolamic TCU. Using a Benzforce adapter plate I was about to flawlessly bolt the 2 together. Stay tuned for the next video where I will be completing the assembly and hopefully starting this beast!

Nice! But why not a 7000RPM 648 commonrail with standalone instead?

You get much more control over injection and can easily make 600 HP between 4000 and 6000 RPM. Also quite easy to implement stuff like antilag en launchcontrol.

Costs a bit more I guess but it would be fun.

You should have surfaced the block, im pretty sure it will blow a gasket if you try to take any real power out of it. They'll hold up pretty well when unopened, but when you take them apart, the MLS gasket dont like the warped block.
