'Spiritual Famine'
-  Nephi calls for repentance from the garden tower
-  He preaches that all of the prophets including Abraham, Moses and Isaiah, prophesied of the coming of Jesus Christ.
-  Nephi prophesies of the murder of the Chief Judge.
-  It's politics that "stirs us up".
-  Nephi is given the power to seal on earth and in heaven

The similarities of seeing groups rise up in the Book of Mormon and the groups that rise up in our days is striking but not surprising. I love the guidance and direction from our Nephi, son of Helaman, our Prophet and his prophetic guidance to us in our todays..

There is a Knowhy (#575) video from Book of Mormon Central that talks about Lehi possibly holding a "mock funeral" on his tower. I thought it was a good insight.

As I listened and read along with you i was struck once again by the clear and as you said explicit references of old testament prohets to Christ in the Book of Mormon. As I thought about this i was amazed how consistent this is. I sat and I thought "yes each of them would have been preaching and teaching about Christ." Then it was almost like i got slapped on the back of the head and a small voice said "Of course they'd be teaching Christ, He's My Son the whole creation revolves around Him who else would they be teachimg"? Great work, thanks

Thanks for going through the Scriptures so throuroughly! I've heard it elsewhere that the cosmology may be an analogy. Of sun being Son and Earth, people. That was from someone else who goes through Come Follow Me on here. He's 29th Floor Sunday School. Both of you among others are great!
