Come Follow Me (Insights into Helaman 13–16, August 31–September 6)

Such an amazing lesson today. The Spirit really touched me when Tyler said "It's interesting that the way Samuel describes how they are going to know that the Son of God has been born into the world is through Heavenly manifestations of LIGHT" - as soon as Tyler concluded this sentence my heart started pounding and it grew to fill my chest and tears streamed down my face. I wondered and asked "What is the Spirit trying to teach me or remind me of here?" Then a voice said "He is the Light of the world, your healing can only come through Him - Look up, have peace and joy... it's yours for the taking." For many, many years I have been working through the trauma of childhood abuse and neglect and also from my first marriage. I've been exploring trust and my issues there and earlier this week I realised it's more about I don't trust myself, than trusting others and I prayed about knowing how to let go of all this pain and move forward as I learn to trust myself. I believe this was my answer. It was a very powerful moment for me. Thank you so much for these amazing videos every week, I am learning and growing so much.

Every week i say, THIS was my favorite lesson they've ever done, but then the next week it's -NO! THIS was my favorite! And the Hebrew adds so much. Ya know how we have had many manuals through the years to improve teaching...and they are good, but i think better yet would be to just watch Taylor and Tyler and then have a discussion of why we enjoy their lessons so much. The lord has given them a wonderful talent but they in turn have showed me what i can do on a smaller scale with my class. Thank you. Again and again. Best lessons ever and I'm 69 years old. I feel i have grown closer to my Heavenly Father than ever since home worship!

I want to say that I enjoy and look forward to each and every lesson you guys give. I have never before be able to have the scriptures taught to me like this. It is especially helpful in this time. Please do not stop for I gain so much that I have never known before and I don’t want to stop learning from you two. You guys are a blessing to me who is returning to the church and have had been away for 16 years. I can not tell you how moving and essential your lessons have been to me as I move closer to the Savior.

Yay! Sunday School at home! Our ward goes every third Sunday to be safe and socially distance, so this is so timely having these lovely lessons. You guys are really good examples to all of us. I always get super excited whenever your vidoes come out. Plus, my infant son likes watching you, also, some. Maybe he likes the frequent smiling or the nice Spirit. I've been reading all the associated chapters, also. I try to read/listen to them all before the lessons, usually, and then I listen to you two, and then I'll read more carefully after the lesson. It really has helped me understand the Book of Mormon much more, so thank you!

Tyler, as a person with TWO separate terminal illnesses, your message today gave me a peace I cannot describe. I praise God every night, ask for the opportunity to repent my sins, and renew my covenants. tonight, I will search hard to find a sin that I commited today, because all I will do today is reread these chapters, and apply your message and perception. I will soon be blessed with the opportunity to use all of your lessons and hope to be judged well because of them, THANK YOU and blessyou both!!

It amazes me that I can read that same passage in the same chapter of the scriptures and then listen to your lessons and I realize that I missed some of the depth and breadth of the latent messege.
The context and historical implications that you expose make the story richer and more spiritually edifying.

I have had 2 children leave the gospel of Jesus Christ but knowing the plan of salvation and the way you explain it and the things that I have learned over all of my years that some day I may be able to have those children again in the gospel. It makes me want to live the gospel even more so that I can qualify to have those children.

"To be like God rather than just to be with God (because we have already been there with him)". Wow, I felt the spirit sooo strongly when you explained this principle. Every time I find something that deeply, deeply touches my hearth. I will share this concept today with my family in the family home evening. :)

Thank you for clearing up Helaman 14:15-17 for me. After you explained it and then my reading the article it became very clear, but sometimes I wonder why I didn't see it before!
