i've noticed that common theme back then was having colorful and very various interesting villains vs more neutral heroes who share same look, and usually villain things were ones that were the best

What’s interesting about Alien Conquest is that one of the minifigures, Solomon Blaze, would later appear in the LEGO Ultra Agents line in 2014 all aged up.

I love it when certain LEGO lines have continuity from other defunct lines.

The Dino theme brings back fond memories, I used to love it. It actually introduced the molds for the pteranodon, velociraptor, and t-rex that are still used to this day, which is a much bigger impact than many people give it credit for.

Lego themes back in the day used to be so rich and full of adventure.

Alien conquest definitely stuck with me that was and still is one of my top themes of all time

Atlantis was so cool. I was too broke at the time, rip.

My favourite piece of Lego 'canon' trivia is that Brains from Power Miners is also a member of the Atlantis dive team!

I seem to remember there are some other Easter eggs for Power Miners buried in the theme, but sadly I was too broke to pick any of these up myself and I don't remember the details now :(

I remember a complaint people had about space police 3 was that all the aliens were criminals. Play testers said the kids always made the aliens the bad guys.

I am glad that Dino (2012 theme) and Atlantis were included in this second part, and it still bugs me that I never got sets from those themes back then.

Lego Dino is one of my all time favorite lego lines as I tried my best when I was young to collect them all. My holy grail set is the Dino Defence HQ and I would kill to have that set!

I used to play the chima racing game, but I never owned any sets :(

I loved Atlantis growing up and have been slowly sifting through my family's own "bins of destruction" to try and rebuild a bunch of the old sets. Across the whole family we had more sets than I even knew about, I could only remember having three myself but there were stickered bricks from nine separate sets in there. Also a Lego Atlantis watch that worked after a battery change, so I've been wearing that now too XD

it is weird knowing I have a few of these sets sitting somewhere in the mist of my Lego bins, I know I have them and some are still mostly in-tact, but I will never be able to fully re-assemble them.

I remember owning one of the first Atlantis sets. I thought it was cool, but didn’t think a lot of it. Then there was Chima. I loved this theme as a kid. I had some of the sets, but of course, I wanted more. And then when it came to Lego Dino, my and brother only got one set, but I was so interested that I was wanting more, but due to how short the line was, I wasn’t able to get a lot

I still have two sets from LEGO Dino and a remarkable collection of Alien Conquest sets. I love that one could play actual battles with those sets, the vehicles were packed to the brick with guns, missiles and laser cannons, simply amazing.

My family actually got the atlantis portal set. It's the biggest set we got, besides an older iteration of the star wars AT-AT. The cool minifigures were very well loved and few survived until today...
I also have the tiny space police set. The minifigure survived but the dog did not...
I really liked Chima but I didn't get very many sets.

Not a cancelled too early (because it ran its full course and faded away) that I absolutely loved from this era was Mixels.
